Mirror KB RanchEat healthier on Grass-Fed Beef
|
Did you know that......
Grass-fed beef contains 10 times more beta-carotene an' 3 times more vitamin E than beef that is not raised on grass, but in feedlots! Healthy fats such as the Omega-3 fatty acids as well as Linoleic acid are each 3 times higher in grass-fed beef when compared to fed-lot finished cattle. What this all means is that eating grass-fed beef over feed-lot finished beef (virtually the only kind of beef found in grocery stores) can lower your cholesterol, as well as lower your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and many cancers.
We raise our cattle to be "Happy Cows," caring for them in a low-stress, natural environment and treat them humanely from birth to market.
When pasture is not available, such as through-out Montana's winter months or drought conditions, we feed our cattle quality alfalfa/grass or oat/pea hay.
We do not feed them any grains, soy, corn silage, or concentrates.
We do not treat our cows with hormones nor do we routinely treat them with antibiotics.
We do not confine our animals, unless absolutely necessary. For the most part they enjoy a peaceful life in the Fisher River valley where they graze on green meadows with trees for shelter an' ranch streams for water.
Sorry we can only sell locally
